Academics

The transformative learning process at Maryland International School for Sustainability & Technology is designed to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. We follow the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards for each course and grade level.  Each day is filled with opportunities to experience new educational and social situations to further development. Our teachers create a safe and open setting, where they can guide students in exploring the world around them. We use the Savvas Learning Curriculum and Imagine Learning Curriculum to individualize the learning of students and then enrich and extend their learning through hands-on experiences.

Students Daily have time for classes in ELA/English (My View), Math (EnVision), Science (Elevate), Social Studies (My World), and Media/Technology. Each week they have enrichment sessions with instructors for Spanish, Physical Education, Art, and Music. We qualify for Title I funding that allows us to target ELA and Math even more through our personalized learning plans.
